Fungi Bonanza

I took a walk to the Frimley Fuel Allotments to check on the state of the ponds - they were virtually dry when I looked a few weeks ago. Fortunately, they are now almost back to normal after the recent rains. 

Even more encouraging for me is that the fungi are starting to make an appearance.  On one path, recently relaid with shredded bark, there was a literal forest of fungi popping up along the path, which I have tentatively identified as False Chanterelle.  I particularly liked the baby ones cuddling up to each other.
