Matisse

Pushed on the process of buying the new flat with assorted professionals for most of the morning. Making progress, making use of a lot of earlier work getting things lined up. 

Out in the afternoon to the New Town, then to the National Gallery on the Mound to see the Impressionist exhibit .  Quite busy still. Some familiar paintings, and the x-ray image of the newly discovered Van Gogh  self portrait. The Matisse Jazz prints in the last room are appealing.

Walked back through Princes Street Gardens, sheltering from a short sharp shower on the way. The Gardens have had enough rain that they are recovering from the Festival installations.
