Never Been So Glad To See Oban

We thought the trip down the country took a long time, well the delays on the way back blew it out of the water. We were on target for getting an earlier ferry until we got stuck in traffic on the M74. Hardly moved anywhere for hours - by the time we cleared the blockage and the diversions we had added 3 hours to our journey time. Still, someone else's day had obvious been far worse than ours (turned out it was a truck fire), so on we went.

So, wait for the nice AA man to come and get us rolling again.
Hmm, SatNav says 1hr 45 to get to the ferry & last check in closes in about 1hr 45.
Made it.
Try to find chips.
No chips :-(
Got the ferry though and home just before midnight having set off at midday (just over 300 miles or average speed of 12mph!).
