We celebrated the day by taking a well earned day off from work - woop! That set the tone for a very relaced & enjoyeable day. I prepared some delicious french toast for our breakfast, Jen opened all her lovely cards & presents, we watched a few episodes of Bones, & then we readied for a little surprise day out & about.

And what a gorgeous day it turned out to be, the sun has shined all day & it's been scorchio! We took the beautiful country route to Nymans at Handcross. It's a stunning National Trust property, & I thought there could be nothing better than on a magnigicent May day like today, than to enjoy the house, gardens & estate of a such a beautiful place. It was lovely. We even managed to squeeze in a scone or two as well! And you are now looking at a member of the National Trust. I never would have thought it either!.. but the student rate speaks for itself ;)

In the evening, dressed to impress, we wandered into town for a pizza & enjoyed a complimentary bottle of prosecco to wash the whole thing down. Our first meal out for a while - it was very nice indeed.

Oh, what a tiring day. Too much fun I think!? Still, work tomorrow!
