There are always Wood Pigeon in the Pear Tree [yesterday's blip] in the Autumn for the fruit

So, I thought the activity this morning a bit odd till I realised a bird had taken a twig into the tree

Presumably the female is sat on some eggs

So bang goes this year's pruning for the time being
