Nora Heysen

Some friends brought me this old painting that they are thinking of selling. It was a retirement gift. The question is - is it an original watercolour, or a print.

It was painted by famous Aussie artist Nora Heysen in 1938. I could not give them an answer, and the painting needs to be removed from behind the glass and given a closer inspection. I have suggested that they take it to our leading art auction house for an answer.

The strange angle was to avoid severe reflections from the glass. When I know the answer I will share it in a future blip!
