St Basil's

20 years ago my school came to Moscow, even at the height of Glasnost it must have been a very different country they visited. It's almost three years since I was in Russia and my first visit to Moscow. Very hard to tell if the country has changed at all, still incredibly expensive, but less cars running on leaded fuel (in the city at least).

Red Square is slightly ironic really, Lenin's tomb looks out over the largest most expensive shopping mall you could imagine. With this fantastic church to his right hand!

Zebra crossing reminds me of an album cover....in reality a week ago it wasn't Lennon et al walking across here, it was 9th May Victory day parades. Something in common with 20 years ago.
