Leeds

Up to Leeds and back for an IRL meeting with a writer, pharmacist turned novelist turned screenwriter, that we’re working with.  Channel 4’s new building used to be a huge nightclub in the city bang opposite the station and both Amit and the Head of Drama at Channel 4 recalled their nights in it although, recollections differed.  Now it’s been sensitively restored and the top floor with a large glass wrap round balcony is Channel 4s.  

A very good meeting and we left with high hopes.  

Wended my way home.  In the evening texts from my brother flooded through from the streets of Westminster showing the Queen’s coffin being taken from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall.
