RIVER WEAR

Taken from Prebends Bridge in Durham with the Cathedral on the right. I have Daughter #2 staying with me for a few days, and the place we were standing has a very special significance for us. Also for Daughter #1 who will be reading this in Australia, and whose presence we miss keenly xx. As we stood there the sun broke through and the light travelled up the river towards us before disappearing into shadow again. It was just right.
