The Maine event of the day - Blipday!

We spent over an hour and a half queuing on the ship to have our documents checked, as we have now left Canada and are in the USA. That said, we met and chatted to this Canadian lady, Joyce, who it turns out had emigrated to Canada from Edinburgh 54 years ago … and she still had a Scottish accent.

Once we were certified as legal, we went in for a wander in Portland. 

One of the biggest charges we noticed was quite a few ‘potheads’ lying around (literally), apparently, recreational Marijuana has been legal (and on sale) since 2020. We even got asked by one chap, if we smoked it, which we answered back, we don’t smoke anything … just get high on life!

Off to Bar Harbour tomorrow, home of the Carnegie, Vanderbilt and Rothschild families.

Beautifully warm weather today, 80 degrees!

Just realised that’s it’s my Blipday … 12 years and a blip up everyday, and still no lost enthusiasm. I just love looking back of what I was doing on tte same day in previous years. Handy for my dotage, I reckon.
