So, ivy then?
Fronds penetrate, it
creeps next door tenaciously.
Gets cut down. Still haunts.
So, ivy then?? What a pain. "Go nature" and everything.. but still. We have ivy on our garden wall, which is actually also next door's garage wall (funny house/garden design around here). And it just goes bananas. We cut it back and it looks all remorseful and like its learnt its lesson but then you turn your back for a few months and it's right back, poking in through their garage roof again. Sigh. Maybe it's a bank holiday job? The picture is one of the previous removal attempts.. it's gone.. but not forgotten :-D
Anyway, am I tired?? I appear to be babbling! We actually slept well, which is great but I am still a bit tired. There's been a lot going on, I guess. I also met my new Home-Start family today which was lovely, obviously I keep complete confidentiality but as volunteers we are encouraged to say we do it, in case anyone out there wants to find out more and join in (national web page would tell you your local options.. www.home-start.org.uk). New family meetings are fun, connecting with mum or dad and children and planning what activities you might do together. The commitment is only 2 hours per week (after training) so it's not too onerous and can be really fulfilling.
Ben had a good day at school, his school nurse and assistant changed his insulin pump without me there for the first time today. Quite a milestone, it will be really good for his independence to know he doesn't need Mum or Dad when something like that does wrong at school. I'm really grateful. I was less grateful when they forgot to put his Dexcom handset back in his bag after school today so I when I was already nearly home I had to turn around and go back to fetch it so we can keep a check on his blood sugars overnight. Oh well, rush hour traffic is just a hidden opportunity to listen to Ben's current favourite song on loop :-/ Yay (How to save a life by the Fray currently, if you were asking..??!)
I pre-made a vegan chilli, so tea will be easy :-) We're not vegan, just like anything tasty.
Mr KCNQ2Haiku has just taken Ben out for a walk to get some fresh air after work and older teen and I are planning some new Bake-Off on catch up. As always, it's rock'n'roll in the KCNQ2Haiku Household!!
