Quintessentially British

I love all of the little pubs with their beautiful flowers outside. We passed this one, in Bayswater, on our walk back from the train station.
Our start to the day was a little frustrating. We travelled to Bsnk Station and the Bank of England to change £250 of paper notes into the new flashy plastic ones. Four security people later and I made to the queue of 20 people seated waiting to be allowed in to join the standing queue inside. Anne was not even allowed past the footpath outside as she was not holding the money. Once in the main standing queue of around 30 people the process was painfully slow. My turn finally came and, after more than 30 minutes I was able to emerge proudly clutching my brand new exchanged plastic notes. By this time there was also an extra queue of around 20 people lined up down the footpath outside.
