Tiny Tuesday: Falling for/in Fall

Until I picked the apples from our tree recently, many of them had already started falling off the tree as fall arrived. We had a good crop this year but this tiny little windfall looked rather cute as it nestled in a gap in the paving near to the tree - it's only about 2x1 cm.

In the background you can see a rich orange/brown glow typical of autumn (fall) leaf colours - but it's actually another (much larger) windfall apple which has lain there for a while and become rotten.
