Marco Longhair

A morning spent hiding from the intense humidity...I've been working on a talk on hospitality (feel free to share any thoughts you have on the subject!) that I'm doing for a church, at the same time baking a cake for Marco longhair... Anyone who knows me outside of blip will know I'm not a natural nor gifted baker...but I do love celebrating friend's birthdays! I had a mini baking issue part way through that resulted in a less than pretty cake, but my family suggested I just cover the entire thing in chocolate and proceed as planned, ha!! Thankfully the thing tasted good, and Marco was delighted as he's not had a cake in years. 
Lovely lovely to catch up with the guys - feels like we've been away a long time and lots has happened for people!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Getting a little list of things sorted this morning.
2) The kids making Marco lovely and personal cards - you can see Asha's sticking out of Marco's pocket in the extra - a card in the shape of a slice of pizza because he's Italian, ha!
3) Hearing the humidity should break in the next few days.
