Proud To Be There
Up early, seems a lot to pay for six hours sleep but the Marco Pierre White breakfast was a compensation. Met my niece and goddaughter in the corridor and we went together. Spectacular views out over the Hoe and Plymouth Sound. Rucksacks packed Sam and I headed to the station and an earlier train home and than we had anticipated.
A late call on Friday requesting my presence at the Falmouth Proclamation Of Accession along with the RNA Branch Standard meant I had to be back in time to shower, shave and change to be on The Moor by 2:30pm.
Today is also the anniversary of 9/11 but I declined the Rick Rescorla Commemoration Service, that would have meant travelling last night. It’s good to remember but sometime other things are more important on that day.
Neither of us particularly felt like cooking but Mrs S did do a chicken noodle stir fry for dinner.
I’m going to sleep well tonight.
