Happy Birthday QSM

Out to the City Of Bears today for the QSM's Birthday - lots of cake and coffee (I drank water).

It's quite a shock to see so many bald patches in what was a glorious and thriving forest.  Also so many dead trees.  Quite a sobering sight.

I noticed that when we came back from Bamberg.  Around Bamberg they had plenty of rain and all the forests looked really green and healthy.  The Regnitz (the river that runs through Bamberg) was full.  Not like the Rhein and the forests around here are really dry.

On the plus side we're getting rain which I absolutely adore.

And yes, all the Xmas goodies are in the shops already because in just over three months, it's Xmas.  Which by my reckoning means Easter Eggs should appear on Jan 2nd.
