Outpatient appointment

Today I went To Waitakere Hospital and saw an orthopaedic surgeon. Although mainly concerned with the apparently healing (very well) fractured clavicle, he was most impressed with the continuing haematoma in me left thigh.

He's given me further time off, and will review progress in four weeks. probably because he discovered my profession, after which he confided that his daughter is completing a degree in psychology and intends to apply for medical school.

If I am able just by that to encourage one more into this hard and rewarding specialty, I will be pleased.
