Pastel on watercolour paper. The paper has been scrubbed with a sandpaper to remove the sizing. Watercolour papers are treated with silicone on top which helps in absorbing the colour. If we remove this then there is some grit on the paper which works well with pastels. I never knew this! Thanks to Susan Jenkins of Monet cafe (FB page),who did a video on how to use this method.
And it works wonderfully well. I am so happy with the result :)
