Nice touch

This is a cheating blip, I took it yesterday. I hope I will not be censured for breaking the rules.
We visited Sandringham yesterday and, as can be seen in Sundays blip, it has become one of the local centres for mourning the loss of the Queen.
Many of the local roads around the gate were closed to allow pedestrian access from the normal car park to the Norwich gates. Because of this when we left we were rerouted several times and ended up going past the tea rooms in Dursingham. I should say almost going past as we pulled into their car park.
We have been here before and love the mismatched furniture, crockery and cutlery and the very ornate teapots. My pot of Assam tea was accompanied with a non matching milk jug and this tea strainer.
It is strange, with all that has been going on in the last few days, that seeing this tea strainer, with its crown and ER 1953, really brought home to me what we have lost and the changes that we will be facing. Funny how different and unexpected things can affect you
The road across from the tea rooms was closed and was guarded by two police men. The guys who run the café said it was very touching how many of their customers have offered to buy tea and cakes for the police, had every offer been taken up by the end of the day there would have been two very fat policemen desperate for the toilet.
