Appendage

This is the topic for today's Mono Monday hosted by Laurie54. 

We had a reasonably busy morning,  Ann popped out to meet Jo for a cuppa and chat whilst I stayed in and prepared a pearl barley risotto for lunch.  I then spent some time in the study, not studying, catching up on some WRAP stuff and still contacting people re change of address.  How annoying is it when you inform someone of your new address and then say "of course this refers to my wife too" and they say "is she there? We can't change her details without talking to her, can you get her to ring us?"  As it was she managed to get a flu jab whilst she was out with Jo at a walk-in run by a pharmacy.  I'll be going on Wednesday. 

After lunch we went down the tip to dispose of the lounge carpet underlay in readiness for the new floor laying on Thursday.  All that hard work deserves a decent cup of coffee so we wandered over to Cafe Bolero for an excellent one.  Whilst there I thought about today's blip and the lights hanging from the ceiling, appendages!

In other news: The NHS have opened up their booking system for COVID booster shots.  We booked ourselves in for Friday, it's almost a year since I had jab number three.
