After Pilates walked to neighbouring village - espying this pair of pears overhanging the wall - didn’t do any scrumping - watched the televised passage of the Queen’s coffin - followed on foot by her children - from Holyrood House up the Royal Mile and into St Giles Cathedral for a memorial service - recollected I trod that path in July - was in the Cathedral audience for a concert by Beaconsfield High School Choir - a much happier event
