Tree surgeons

We had a team of tree surgeons in today to take down a 100ft beech tree that was badly rotted at the base and in danger of toppling.  MrHCB is out there now loading the smaller logs into the tractor bucket to bring under cover (it's just started to rain).  The larger logs will need splitting before they can be lifted.  It will take the wood 3 years to dry enough to burn in the wood burner.  We also have a large heap of wood chippings which will be great as a mulch on the flower beds.
