Bike Maintenance

Today EP took a rare day off his uni studying and we spent the afternoon conducting some serious bike maintenance. Both our bikes are regularly used and it had been several months since they had been given any loving attention. Between us we repaired my puncture from a month back and it required 3 inner tubes. The tyre was covered in thorns two of which completely penetrated the tyre and one only penetrating the outer surface. This meant that every time the tube was inflated it re-punctured. Aagghh!! Frustrating! Once the puncture was repaired we scrubbed down the gears and chains and lubricated ready for the new season!

Tonight we've been planning a wee 4 day cycle trip through Northumberland in July. Need to get into training & hope this summer is better than last!
