Medio maratón.

#2D (left) sent this picture after completing the Great North Run from Newcastle. She raised at last count £11,897 for Muscular Dystophy charity: her friend far right has a small child affected by this terrible condition. I couldn’t be there of course but watched as much footage as the BBC broadcast, and got a real feel for the atmosphere, the 60,000 runners observing the minute silence and singing God Save The King before the start. Extra is a screenshot of the start point. She said she really enjoyed it although her kneecaps died at the 10 mile mark and her soul followed at 13. Before Kaybee points it out, no she did not run in flipflops! Very proud Mum day.
