Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2022 Saturday — September Sunset

This has been a very quiet day. It has also been a very very very humid day as our geography is experiencing effects from tropical storm “Kay,” which is moving north from Baja California and causing sticky humidity and some needed rain in our area.

Our backyard construction crew were not here today because they were involved in cleanup in the community of Cambria, which has also been receiving rain, and Mercado, who owns the construction company that is building our backyard, has several jobs in progress in Cambria.

Mid afternoon we took a drive to Miner’s Ace Hardware in Morro Bay so that Mr. Fun could get materials to work on our mailbox; the mail person has explained that our mailbox needs to be taller because new mail delivery vehicles will be taller (what a bunch of malarkey). So, raising up our mailbox was the bullseye on Mr. Fun’s agenda.

We got home from the hardware store and he began working on the mailbox and I started the preparation for homemade tacos for dinner. I also captured the sunset photos. Later as we sat down to eat I looked outside and realized rain was getting everything wet. Almost instantly the temperature in this house began to cool. The decreased temperature was delightful.
