Reach for the Sky!

This image is pretty much SOOC! What an amazing sky we had today. Was SO GLAD we'd gone to watch a movie at Dubai Mall as I wanted to do a few things whilst there. Got treated by a friend as she gets tickets that cost almost nothing!!

I had so many things I wanted to write here except I am now falling asleep over the keyboard! Went to watch The Croods (DreamWorks animated) movie about a "caveman" family, which was interesting to say the least!! Some funny LOL moments!

Went looking for something specific after that - which brought us close to the Fountain, so decided to head out to catch a show. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as impressive as in the night, so didn't take many "blips"!! The Burj Khalifa though - standing there in all it's splendour, the afternoon sun lighting it up beautifully - Wow! It never fails to impress!

I must say - as it is May Day today - although there are no Unions etc here, the thing that really impressed me when I went on the tour of the building (2 1/2 years ago!), was the fact that on the boards where the story is told of the construction process of the building, there are photos and names of all the people who worked on the project - even the tea boys! Everyone had their own part to play to achieve the end product and have been recognised for it.

Must stop there - I am falling asleep!!! Good night! :)

For the very few of you who may not know it - this is the Burj Khalifa - currently the tallest building on the planet at 828m. And if any of you UK blippers are watching the news - it is named after the UAE President who is currently on an official State visit being hosted by The Queen!
