Granddad's little shadow

My Mum and Dad arrived late last night so we decided not to tell the kids and let it be a big surprise this morning - they weren't disappointed! Both kids went charging into their bedroom and straight into their bed for kisses and cuddles. The four of them adore each other but my Mum and Olivia have always had a very special relationship and now we can see one blossoming between my Dad and Dexter.

We enjoyed a lovely walk to our local park, the Bois de la Cambre, this afternoon and caught the electrical ferry boat across to Robinson's Island for a naughty afternoon snack and hot drink. We had a walk around the small island afterwards and watched a bride and groom being photographed in a rowing boat on the lake - I couldn't resist taking some snaps but in the end I liked this one of Dad and Dexter having some fun together.

This evening I attended a BCT (Brussels Childbirth Trust) Thank you party for all volunteers and left Mum, Dad and hubby at home to enjoy watching some football (don't think Mum was too impressed :)). Actually I don't think Dad enjoyed watching the football either considering the poor result for Newcastle United!
