Derelict Sunday - Ready to go to the Tip!

Firstly, thanks so much to everyone for your support regarding my Dad following my blip yesterday. We visited him this morning and, as expected, he continues on a downhill slope. He was obviously aware of our presence but wasn't really able to speak - however he did give a little smile when my Editor told him that she'd miss his help with cryptic crosswords as the rest of the family aren't really interested in them!

Much of the rest of the day has been spent continuing the task of clearing and cleaning his flat. There'll be a lot to go to the charity shop of the local hospice: my Dad was a volunteer driver for them for many years after he retired so it seems very appropriate, so they're sending a van on Wednesday to collect things. However some things are too far gone for that so the car is loaded up as you can see for a trip to the tip tomorrow. (The "porter's trolley" in the blip isn't being left at the tip - that's for moving the cooker around.)

Thanks as always to Marlieske for hosting DS.
