Coned

The Quays Festival was postponed due to the death of the Queen, but the swim was still on. It was warmer in the water than out. Victoria and I just took our time and chattered around the dock. The other girls are still in training for their big challenge and we caught up with them for a chat afterwards.

Victoria spotted a cone in the water and we couldn’t resist swimming with it on our heads or using it as a megaphone. Everyone who spotted the moving cone in the water knew it was us two lol.

I nipped round to see Ellen with Pat this afternoon and we sorted a hire car for when we go to Belfast. Exciting stuff….

I met Sue at The Boathouse in Astley and we sat outside for a gin and some food this evening. It was very pleasant to sit alongside the canal.
