Proclamation

I went with a friend to Cambridge today for the Proclamation at the Guildhall. I am so glad to have been there. A lot of lovely banter whilst waiting for  the Sheriffs, bishop, mayor etc  to appear. We were surrounded by so many people wearing their gold chains . So I asked one of the Mayors, what is the collective noun for Mayors, so after a moment or two thinking he suggested The Chain Gang!  After the Proclamation we sang God Save the King and did the three cheers.  It felt very good.  We followed it up with glass of bubbly and lovely lunch! I doubt I will ever forget today.
