A Day on the Boat

Frank still had to put another coat on the flue pipe so he suggested we all go on the boat to Skipton as he needed to buy more brushes. Tonya and Yurii loved being on the boat and they were very helpful too. 
Tonya cleaned all the windows inside and out and when we got back Yurii weeded the tow path at our mooring. I cleaned the bedroom thoroughly. All the work Frank has done created a lot of dust everywhere.
I must have put about 20 spiders out of the boat! There were cobwebs everywhere. The spiders are now in the bushes.

Eviction

Spider, I know you like to live in our skylights
And I really don’t mind you being there
But when you ask your friends and relations
To join you, well it doesn’t really seem fair,
For you fill the windows with cobwebs,
thick and layer upon layer, 
Then take it in turns to dangle down
While I sit on the boat in my chair.
I don’t really like evicting you
But the boat does need a clean
So I’ll find you a place in the bushes
I won’t kill you - I’m not that mean.

It’s my son, Marc’s birthday today. 44! Where did all those years go?
I wish I could have been with him.

After a busy day I’m really tired and it’s only 8pm.
