Tired and grumpy

My human is very tired. When she is tired she gets grumpy!

We're back in our St Ives home now. Yay! We've had two days of really good travelling. Yesterday we drove from Edinburgh to Ashby-de-la-Zouch in super quick time and stayed overnight with Ann's very lovely nephew Dan. And today we drove from Ashby-de-la-Zouch to St Ives in about four and a half hours (including a little walk around at Taunton Services). That's our fastest time ever!!!

Our house here is looking as fabulous as ever because Julia, our housekeeper, is the bestest housekeeper in the world. She's even left some flowers for us. Yay!!

However, what is it about holiday makers who think they can change the whole layout of what is in ones cupboard??? What is complicated about.................. if you take something out of a drawer/cupboard.............. is it really that difficult to put it back in the same place???

Fortunately Ann has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years so she knows that holiday makers generally tend to leave their brains behind when they come on holiday. Even so, surely it's not rocket science to put something away in the same spot where one found it.

Years ago (when my human lived here full time) she used to clean two of the neighbouring holiday lets and when she went into clean, the furniture (on a regular basis) had been moved to different locations???? Why???  OK, people come on holiday and stay in a 'home from home' and want the property to reflect how they live their life. BUT..................... surely if you are a guest in someone else's home (even if you are paying for the privilege) you should respect the property enough to return everything to how you found it? …...............Or is my human being naïve to think this?

Anyway, in the big scheme of things, it's not actually a problem. Obv we will just deal with it. …..............It's just irritating!!!

My human wishes she could just keep this lovely house for us and not have to rent it out well we survived during 8 months of lock down with no income didn't we??? but I don't think that's going to happen in the immediate future.

I went for a little trek around and a play at 'Mans Head' (which is a lovely grassy area) and we spotted 2 seals frolicking in the shallow water. (see extras).

Since then my human has just been lying on the sofa watching stuff about the QUEEN. #itstheendofanera
