Close, but no banana

TallGirl saw to it that we weren't allowed to ignore our wedding anniversary. And the spelling was very close to correct...

After some admin work helping Mr B format a document (why oh why do they have to keep mucking around with the menus on Word?) we headed off to the market - which was on, though reduced, despite the holiday. TallGirl chose all the plants she needed to finish off her tiny garden, and I had my usual nice chat with the plant man who is always keen to practice his English and help me with my plant French. On then to the first vide greener (for us) of the season - just a small one in a local village to get us back into the swing of it. The kids did well with some sensibly chosen games and things and Mr B and I found some earthenware beer mugs that will go in the freezer nicely for some visitors lined up for September (and I'm sure for many before that too). A sausage and chips lunch and we were off home again through the improving weather.

By the time we were home it was definitely sunny, so off into the garden for lots of planting and tending. And a long chat with TallGirl about what she needs to do in the garden while I'm away.

Some fizz, some lamb with mint sauce and a rather delicious St Emilion, and that's another year of marriage with a big tick against it.

Tomorrow (always presuming I get the packing done) an early start to head off to London with CarbBoy, leaving Mr B and TallGirl to a long weekend of nature documentaries and eating duck.
