Unexpected...

I was expecting a dull and dreary day & it seemed like that at sunrise...pea soup outside! However, it soon started to get brighter & wow, just gorgeous to see clear blues skies above a mist filled valley (extra). 

I had a couple of wanders & chats with friends before coming home. I'd thought of going to Old Moor, but as I drove there, I could see the weather was so much better at home. So I turned around & didn't go. 

My main blip is of a red grouse posing very nicely on a wall, very close to the road. Viewed in large is probably worth it. :) 

Edit - I'm now thinking that this is a red grouse/pheasant mix because the beak is wrong for a grouse!
