Tribute #2
We delayed our shop this morning until we had watched the moving and historic coverage of the Accession and Proclamation coverage. Such ceremony and necessary formalities.
I’m pleased that several of my usual online outlets are observing a time of quiet and not sending information about sales etc at the moment.
I visited Mavis later. She talked about Ken’s last hours, too quick, but so grateful that he has been spared much by being taken before treatment decisions were discussed. She shared more wisdom about grief and loss. Even with the knowledge that Ken is now with God who he loved and served for many years, she needs time for that to help her grief. Shock and loss is her uppermost emotion right now. Being Mavis, we also laughed at happy memories. I am so grateful for conversations I am having with dear friends who are teaching me so much.
Friends to dinner this evening after far to long.
A day of many reflections.
