So done this in chemistry today! Used a Bunsen burner which we turned to a roaring flame and we used the tip of the light blue inner flame to burn the marble/limestone to take out the carbon dioxide and just leave the calcium oxide and tested it if it was an alkaline! Then the flame turned green, yellow, blue, orange and kinder indigo and violet.
