Sept 10
A nice day to be out roaming the roads. Sunshine and the temperature was in the mid-20's.
One of the garden centers had their annual end of year yard sale today. I stopped there to pick up some plants for some customers. I had heard about the 100 mile Food and Fiber Festival in the same area, so I decided to check that out. All the vendors live within 100 miles. Food, entertainment, displays showing people how to hook rugs, weaving, sheep shearing and more. After I left there I headed to one of the farm markets, they had their sunflower upick open. You can make a donation, walk around the field of sunflowers, cut what you want, take photos if you want. The next stop was The Guzzle, I was hoping to get some photos of the sandpipers, but very few to be seen, despite it being a couple of hours after high tide, which is one of the best times to see them.
