SILLY SATURDAY STUCK IN SWINDON!
Hello Lovely Blippers,
Can you believe that Mrs HCB left Mr HCB and all of us “home alone” and went off to Bath to meet their two American friends? We couldn’t believe it either!!
Her excuse was that she was going on the train and wasn’t sure there would be room for us! Hrmphhhh - we don’t take up that much room!
Anyway we understand they had a great time while we stayed at home and pottered around the garden with Mr HCB, which was good but…we would rather have been with the Three Crazy Ladies, but don't tell them we called them that!
Anyway, we are really glad they have come home safely - we were concerned because you never know what three senior ladies might get up to when they are let loose, do you?
So here we all are with Mr HCB hovering in the background - well you know he’s rather shy. Connie is on the left and Gina on the right with Mrs HCB also hovering, next to Mr. HCB. We hope that this would make Admirer smile, but to be honest, we didn't feel very smiley after being stuck in Swindon all day!
Apparently the ladies had a lovely day in Bath - they went on a “Hop on - Hop off” bus tour around the city and then had Afternoon Tea at the Jane Austen Museum - you will see in the extra several shots of them - we understand that all three ladies were "swooning" over the portrait of Mr. Darcy! The four ladies at the top right were in Regency style dresses and were happy for Mrs. HCB to take their photograph. The one view at the top left is of Pulteney Bridge and the weir - we just hope that next time Mrs. HCB decides to go to Bath on a Saturday, she takes us with her!
Just to say that you might notice a new member in our Silly Saturday Gang - he is called Baby Jay and we will tell you more about him next week - but suffice to say he flew all the way from Kansas - 4,355 miles - in Gina's backpack, which he said was really stuffy!
Hope you all have a great weekend.
Love from the Silly Saturday Gang xxx
P.S. We have just been hearing stories about the day the Three Crazy Ladies had in Bath and you won't believe that Mrs. HCB sat next to a man who had just retired from the Army - he was a Sergeant - and he was actually in the Queens Guard!! Only Mrs. HCB could get chatting and get that much information out of someone in a half hour journey!!!
