Red Admiral

Lovely morning for a walk at Milngavie Reservoirs. It was just after 8.30am when this lovely butterfly flew past our faces and landed on top of the hedge to catch the warm morning sun. 
Apart from a few geese there were no other birds to see so I am glad to have caught the Red Admiral otherwise I would have carted the camera round for nothing as often happens!
