Reconstructed

I thought the old and beaten lower right Birkenstocks was destined for a mix of compost and landfill. Instead they've been rebuilt and reconstructed, complete with genuine German Birkenstock soles.

All going well they have another 10 years in them. My cobbler tells me that they're made with much better leather than new ones are. Better quality materials and cheaper to reconstruct than buy new ones of lesser quality.

It's a win.
