In the Green Goddess

The Blackheath Standard now has two pubs facing each other across Vanbrugh Park (not a park, just the name of the road heading west from the Standard towards the common). Opposite the long-established Royal Standard, in a former Barclays Bank building is the Green Goddess, a new bar dedicated to craft beer and real ale, and already proving popular. Beer production on the premises is expected to start later this year.
