In Memory

As the events of yesterday sink in, it seems even the weather is mourning the queen today, it's grey and raining as I type this but the sun will come out again soon I'm sure.

I went into Holt this morning and noticed that the staff in the post office in Bakers & Larners were wearing black.  The flags outside the Feather's Hotel were flying at half mast as was the flag at the war memorial.

The world feels a different place today as we all get used to not having the constant presence of the Queen who for many of us has always been there and whose whole-hearted dedication to her people will always be remembered.
