Books and crochet

A while back I spotted on Instagram that people were doing a #grannysquarebookchallenge. People were crocheting a square to match a book cover’s colours each time they started a new book and were then making them into a blanket to show a year of reading.

I couldn’t face the idea of a blanket and didn’t want to end up with a load more squares so instead I am doing mandalas.  I can easily use these up as decorations, or maybe string a few together as a reminder of my favourite books.

I am looking forward to the 3rd Osman book coming out - will need to get some green yarn in!
