Great Spotted Woodpecker
A common enough bird in mainland woodlands, but not in Orkney, this is only the 3rd I have seen here. It seems there is an influx of GSW in the Northern Isles of Scandinavian birds. This was on Stronsay. Extra is a snipe. Lots of them around and dunlin, ringed plover, sanderling, bar-tailed godwit, etc.
