All things must pass

This is a photo of my grandmother with my father and uncle way back in the 1930s. My brother took the black and white original and rather brilliantly colourised it. 

My father and grandfather were both enthusiastic photographers. Must be in the DNA. 

At the time this photograph was taken Queen Elizabeth was also a young girl. Very similar age as my father in fact. Now she is at death’s door and an era is about to end. 

All thing must pass. But this one is a psychological biggie. We are about to go from being Elizabethans to being Charlies.

Long live the king …
