Walking in the air

A day at leisure in Reutte. We had a walk round the town in the morning and then had coffee and delicious Apfel strudel at the cafe owned by our courier’s family. Then took a taxi to the Highline 179 suspension bridge which is 406 metres long and at a height of 114,460 metres. We went up in the Ehrenberg liner and walked across the bridge and back. It was quite a scary experience as the bridge sways whilst you’re walking across it!  I did not look down much! At the end of the bridge are the castle ruins of Burgenwelt Ehrenberg.
Heard the news about the Queen when we were at dinner - sad news she was a wonderfully dedicated monarch and will be missed. She’s been monarch throughout my life.
