we didn't start the fire*

But we did learn how to put it out..seven employees of The Usual Place had Fire Training this morning. Our trainer was  an ex-firefighter who was also a great storyteller, making the morning enjoyable and relevant. He started his presentation with a video of the 1985 Bradford City FC stadium fire which is really shocking to watch. As you can see from the photo, we got to practise using different kinds of fire extinguishers. Hopefully, I'll never have to use one for real.

The training finished at 10.30 which left me plenty of time for a walk before the rain set in after lunch. I'd brought Jess in the car and we went out to New Abbey and went up Criffel, always a good walk with good views all round. The extra photo shows us both on the summit.
