End of summer in the greenhouse
My sciatica pain has been keeping me up at night and is costing a lot in osteopath appointments/sports massages but at long last, we've had days of heavy rain.
Unfortunately the greenhouse still needs watering so, with a heavy heart, I decided to terminate the greenhouse cucumber plants and replace them with less thirsty autumn crops: parsley, rocket, mixed salad leaves, spinach and baby carrots.
I couldn't part with my beautiful purple basil and cucamelon. I quickly made a structure with a broken trellis that was lying around on the plot. With a bit of luck, the cucamelons will keep climbing up the greenhouse which should look good!
