Arriving in the NL

Arrived into the port near Amsterdam to warm sunshine, and headed through Holland towards Edam on the west side of NL, a pretty town that sells very nice cheese. We stayed at the campsite some years ago although this time found it too busy, the receptionist fitting us in must have been like doing a jigsaw.

We popped along to the campsite cafe for lunch and welcomed by this starling and a group of sparrows.

Another hot day and a wander into the town along the canal, very pleasant, as was the small beer we had in town.

I am posting this later in the week, in a lovely library with a comfortable cafe, there are several people learning Dutch, sounds like they are all enjoying the process. Anyway the wifi is v v slow.
