yesterday's cliff fall makes its presence known to me by leaking chalk into the bay...
...and the publicity surrounding it makes me want to hurl things at people standing staring at me in my garden! look at the bally rockfall, not me! i'm just trying to go about my own business in my own home....grrr! this incident has turned what should have been a relatively peaceful early May into a grockle-filled August nightmare.
after the erroneous info on the local news on bbc south west last night i had to ring and tell them to stop putting out nonsense about fossils and keep their more gullible viewers safe by getting someone to check their facts and correct their jolly, let's have a fossil hunting party just below where another ton of chalk is likely to fall at any moment, spiel.
there are no fossils....just a mountain of slippy debris with a ton more ready to fall.
it's really dangerous
the bbc seem to have children doing their reports and uninformed presenters spouting nonsense about fossils just because a while ago some PR idiot dreamed up the idea of calling this stretch of coast Jurassic. this is not a film set and people will get injured or killed if they are encouraged by the bbc to go and play on this sort of cliff fall.
i despair!
